So here I am, one month in, and one month of training over. If you forgot why I was running or want to see my first post you can here. Also, this is the end of my first week following the official training guide and here it is if you want to see it.
I would say that it is going pretty well so far, I am not too sore and I have actually realized that getting away from my desk three times a week at work is something that I look forward to. Luckily the Santa Ana River Trail is right behind me as well so that always provides for a nice view and some interesting stories.
Biggest Success
The biggest success I have had so far is in my shoes. I went to a local Running Center and had them look at how I run. They realized I over-pronate and helped me get some perfect shoes to help take away any feet problems. I wish I would have known about this earlier as it has been a huge success and I have even started to wear some during normal days when I am walking a lot.
Potential Problems
It is crazy to think I am only at 3 mile runs currently and that is only one tenth of the length the marathon. I can see the growth I have had in the last month of real running but it is still crazy to think of how tired I am and how much further I have to go.
