At an elevation of 7,800 feet, this beautiful area is home to some of my favorite places in the entire of California. It is an amazing place to relax during the fall or to hike and fish during the summer. There are a lot of spots to camp here but this is a great place spend the night as it is in a great location and is a good price. Check out our review.

Trails Near By
There are so many trails near by, trails to waterfalls, fishing spots, lakes and summits. The main trail head would be the one near South Lake that allows the hiker to get back to the John Muir Trail and Evolution Valley. You can pretty much get anywhere from here and wow is it beautiful. Here is an image of South Lake.

Of course there are closer campgrounds to this area but the location of Forks Campground is right at the fork in the road and it gives you so many options for where to go in Bishop Creek. Make sure to leave a comment below if you have another campground you like.
