So I did it, first half marathon is in the books! Running the 2011 13.1 Los Angeles Half Marathon last weekend was a great experience which I really enjoyed. There were over 3,000 people at the event, the weather was great; it was a nice flat course with it starting off along Venice beach and it seemed very well put together and organized. I was shooting for around 1:30 and did just that, running it in 1:30:02 which put me in 88th place out of 2538 or 15th in my division with a pace of 6:52 a mile! Not too bad for my first half marathon, the last two miles were a little rough but I enjoyed it, we will have to see if I can make it under 1:30 on my next one! Also from what I heard Team World Vision raised almost $100,000 for clean water in Africa, amazing!

WOW! Zac! Will you try a marathon one day? I sense a natural runner and possible Boston Qualifier one day! Congratulations on a race well run!
Thanks Andra! I am definitely thinking about it, I think at least throwing down one marathon would be pretty cool. My Dad and I are thinking maybe fall of this year!
