I ratcheted up my running this last weekend by completing my first 15k in the 2010 Loma Linda Holiday Classic. Stringing together a 10k and a 15k gave me two good reasons to keep training and improving my pace and distance through the holidays. The most exciting part about this race for me was the results, I came in 11th overall but 1st in my division! I ran it in 1:04:47 which is a pace of 6:57, this was no easy course either, plenty of hills and it was early so it was cold too. This was a good race though, easy to get to, well organized and it was a good course though it did have a bit of overlap. My Dad ran the 15k as well and bested his goal and my mom hit up the 5k!
We had a great time and I am continuing to train and looking forward to some winter hiking as well, I am also looking for some half marathons that I can run so if you know of any coming up in Socal let me know!

Pretty impressive timing, especially considering it’s your first 15k! Great work.
