2010 Mission Inn Run

1x1.trans 2010 Mission Inn Run1x1.trans 2010 Mission Inn RunI had the opportunity, nay the pleasure, of running the Riverside Mission Inn run 2010 10k last weekend and I am happy to report that I put up a new 10k best! I came in 38th over all, 6th in my division (yea it was stacked), I ran it in 43:51 which is a 7:03 mile average! I was excited to fit another race in as I am training for a 15k the first week of Dec and wanted to make sure I was ready, this gave me another reason to train.

This was a really well put together event, this was the first time I had run this race and besides the parking, which in general in downtown riverside can be complicated, everything was great even though there was a huge amount of people. They had chip timing and a well marked course. It was a pretty tough course though, plenty of hills and the back part, on the north side of Mt Rubidoux had you running into the wind for at least a quarter of a mile which was pretty tough.

All in all it was a great event I really enjoyed running it and posting a new best time! Running in and around downtown Riverside is always a pleasure as Mt Rubidoux is one of my favorite spots to run. I even got a medal (they went out to the first 100 finishers). I’m really looking forward to my next race 15k here I come!
