I had the pleasure of attending the Hurley Pro this weekend, it was an amazing surf competition and I had a great time. The Hurley Pro Trestles, stop No. 6 of 10 on the ASP Dream Tour, was held at one of Americas premier Surf spots, Lower Trestles in San Onofre State Beach, San Clemente. While getting to the event required parking a bit of a distance away at the San Onofre State Beach Campground and two shuttle rides, it was worth the hassle as I experienced some of the most amazing surfing I have ever seen. A highlight video of the last day can be seen on the Hurley Pro website along with coverage and pictures of the event, I also included the video at the bottom of the post. Kelly Slater won the event and specifically the finals were filled with killer surfing and amazing moves, I highly recommend checking it out the next time it rolls around. I was so stoaked after the event I even got some surfing in myself at one of my favorite spots off San Onofre Trails.
